Hey Karl, Sound like you just got somebody who didn't know what he was talking about.
DII makes a one-piece unit that includes the left & right floorboards, all three floor braces, *and* the rear seat shelf but not the toe kick. For 68-72 they also have one w/ all of the above plus the rocker panels pre-installed, and one w/ no rear seat shelf, braces, or rocker panels. All of these have no toe kick.
DII also makes one for left or right side that does not include the rear seat shelf or much of the toe kick or tranny tunnel.
Goodmark makes one for left or right side that includes some of the toe kick but not the rear seat shelf. It also includes a complete half of the transmission tunnel area (if you butt the L&R pieces side by side they form a complete tranny tunnel whereas the DII L/R pieces do not form a complete tunnel and you have to salvage some of your original sheet metal and have two welds in the tunnel).
