I ran a dye charge and the compressor sprayed dye from the front seal. 180,000 miles, no R134, not much hope.

You may also just be low on refrigerant or a bad switch causing the compressor to not stay engaged and that rattling can make you think the compressor is bad. If you do need a compressor I would stick with the delco, but I biased, I have worked at a GM dealer over 40 years.
