Hey folks! As some of you might know, there is a single-day Erlang Conference in Chicago on Sep 22.
We have some epic speakers lined up (Joe Armstrong, Francesco Cesarini, Feed Herbert, and more). I'm also going to try and not bore the crowd to death with a talk of my own, and Zach Kessin will also be there doing one of his "Mostly Erlang" podcasts from the after party. And the cherry on top is that Evan Miller of course lives in Chicago, so we're trying to organize a little informal ChicagoBoss themed informal powwow (Evan introduced me to the term "birds of a feather" to refer to this specific kind of sub-meetup - http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birds_of_a_feather_(computing) ). Anyway, I hope some of you can make it and hang out for the day! The full information is at http://chicagoerlang.com As I told Evan, Dmitry, and David, I'm pretty backed up with preparing for this conference, after which I'll be able most of October to ChicagoBoss development! I hope to meet some of you!
