You'll need the following Ubuntu packages: - gcc - libc6-dev - make Then, just uncompress the chicken-2.732.tar.gz file, compile and install: $ tar xzvf chicken-2.732.tar.gz $ make PLATFORM=linux $ make PLATFORM=linux install You can use the PREFIX variable to specify an alternative installation path if you want (something like "make PLATFORM=linux PREFIX=/usr/local/chicken-2.732").
