Thanks for your reply, Sheri. Just FYI on house-rabbits. The way I do it is to have a extremely large indoor cage for the bunny. He or she is taught to use a litter box full of pine pellets that always stays in the cage. When I'm not home, or while sleeping, the bunny lives in the cage. When I'm home, bunny gets free run of some rooms, provided the rooms have no dangling electrical cords to be bitten. When they know the litter box routing, they will go back to his or her cage to do their business. If I'm trailing them closely, I'll let the bunny run through the whole house. I had one that just found running up and down stairs to be a complete joy. The only mess he'd make was if I'd give him a brown paper bag - he'd first jump in and out of it, then swing it with his teeth, and eventually rip hunks of paper off. You might get an occasional marble on the floor, but not enough to speak of. I figure if I ask questions ahead of time, I'll make everything safer for all critters involved. My dobie and my collie had no hunting instinct, so never wanted to eat a bunny.
