I agree mutts are definitely not stupid, and the breeds mentioned are among
some of the most intelligent. I don't think the problem is ever the dog. I
think the problem is the human who has the dog. Any dog can be trained to be
loving and obedient, and any can be trained to be vicious, disobedient, ect.
I do not advocate punishment for animals....I advocate punishment for the
owner of those animals for their negligence and failure to take appropriate
precautions. The poor dogs only do what they think they are suppose to do.
We as humans, if we choose to domesticate an animal, take on the
responsibility of training that animal to live in our society. For instance,
lets say someone lives in a "three strikes" area. I don't think on the third
strike, the dog should be killed, I think the dog should be removed from
it's owners, taken someone where a professional can "reprogram it" and the
owner should be banned from owning any more! jmo
