Hi Shooting BB's into an animal will make him meaner, especially if the bb's get under the skin and an infection starts. Pain or discomfort in an animal will make them even meaner. If you pick up a gun, you SHOOT TO KILL.. The only time a gun should be used is for that purpose. I do not agree with this though. I feel that the dog owner should be responsible for his animal. I had the same problem with my neighbor. For all of last year I would walk my chi's on a leash and out would run the neighbor's dogs.. I almost got attacked. When I finally had enough I talked with animal control. They wanted me to file a report.. I told them to let me talk to her one more time. In that conversation I told her I have two options.. Shoot the dogs since they have tried to attack me, or the fact that I have already had contact with animal control. I told her I had the complaint form in my home and I will file.
She was very upset with me and tried to tell
me I was causing her problems with her pregnancy and with her hubby at war she needed the dogs .. I told her I wanted no problems but her issues were not mine.. I only want to walk my dogs in peace. I also want her dogs to pee on her grass , not mine. I work hard to have a nice front yard.. I don't even let my own dogs pee on the front lawn .. So I told her we could get ugly or we could work this out nice and neighborly. Well , she choose to work with me. She placed the one dog with a friend till hubby came home and kept a closer eye on the one dog she kept. I told her the other day on the phone that I thank her for working with me. I don't think she is happy but you can't fight with that. So you can make it work you just have to hang in there. Good Luck..Cindy
