Grapes and raisins do cause kidney failure in dogs. I'm sure a couple wouldn't hurt if the dog (LARGE dog) some how got a hold of some, but I make sure neither of my dogs get any. It's ok to give your dogs certain fruits and veggies(raw or cooked with no seasoning) for a treat, or a little cheese (low fat). Also, a lot of people give eggs to help with skin and coat conditioning. I've noticed a nice change in both my chi and bulldog's hair since I've started giving them a hard boiled egg once a week. Happy Feeding! :) Lacey
