Grapes and raisins do cause kidney failure in dogs. I'm sure a 
couple wouldn't hurt if the dog (LARGE dog) some how got a hold of 
some, but I make sure neither of my dogs get any. It's ok to give 
your dogs certain fruits and veggies(raw or cooked with no 
seasoning) for a treat, or a little cheese (low fat). Also, a lot of 
people give eggs to help with skin and coat conditioning. I've 
noticed a nice change in both my chi and bulldog's hair since I've 
started giving them a hard boiled egg once a week. Happy

bananas, apples, pears
