My thoughts exactly. All of my pets are spayed/neutered except the chis I breed. If no one bred, we would eventually loose most of our breeds and would have nothing but mutts. Now don't get me wrong, I love a good mutt. I have a few myself and they make great pets, but sometimes you just can't deny the specialness of a full breed such as a chi!

I agree, I don't believe in letting dogs and cats stay un-neutered unless they are worthy candidates for improving or maintaining the high standard of the breed but how else are we going to have worthy new generations.   Or don't they want their kids and grandkids to have pets? lol  Anna

Sighhhhh, as if I don't have enough to deal with right now, I have been kicked off of my yahoo animal rescue group. After Honey died and I mentioned he was my stud (thus I am a breeder), they lashed out at me talked about how BAD I was for breeding, ect and kicked me off the group. I wonder how many of those people on the list have children. Do they know that humans BREED too!! So if they have kids, they probably bred them! lol.  Do they know how many HUMAN kids need homes....if everyone would stop reproducing and adopt one of these many kids needing homes, we wouldn't have so many orphans. OHHHH, I'm sorry, apparently that spay/neuter idea applies only to 4 legged creature. :-)
