Hi I had to put my two cents in on this one... I don't feel breeding should just happen. If you are planning this then you should know all this info.. YOu can read books on the subject. Also , there are many , many problems that can occur while breeding any dog ,but especially the small breeds.. Have you given any thought if the pups are to big to pass moms pelvis??? I just encountered this.. I was set to spend up to 1,000. for a c-section ,but instead I had a baby born that was with an open head,.. It never closed.. Sad to sad my mamma almost needed to be taken to the night time vet but I had two experienced friends with me and we had to pull the big pup out .. I almost had a disaster.. YOu have to be ready to just hand over your money like it is nothing to save your girl. I just like to have people think before they breed the dogs.. , especially the Chi's.. Please do your homework first.. THen talk to someone that has been successful for sometime before you do this.
There is a lot more to it then two dogs getting together.. IT is not just for fun.. I love the Chi's and find this is a shame not to know what is up prior to breeding..

how long do they usually do it for? How many times and for how many
days do they need to do it for so that Ricky can get her pregnant?
And after he gets her pregnant how long will it be until she has her
pups?
