(or I may have that backwards!! lol) It is also ok to breed grandson to grandmother, ect. It is called line breeding and it is recognized by the AKC as a legitimate breeding method and you see a lot of it in champion dogs. Marsha Breeding mother to son or father to daughter is inbreeding and not line breeding. Breeding grandfather to granddaughter or grandmother to grandson is la milder form of inbreeding dubbed line breeding. Inbreeding is not acceptable while line breeding is when done with extreme care.
