Merle gene is a dilute gene - meaning it lightens the coat in a splotchy pattern. With light merles, it may be more difficult to tell that they are truly merles. That is why it is not advisable to breed lighter colored merles. AOL now offers free email to everyone. Find out more about what's free from AOL at AOL.com. ------------------------ Yahoo!
