WOW I can't imagine them doing that where I live. As I live in a very large
city. However if someone calls on you then they will come to your house. My
mom's nextdoor neighbor just got poped with cats. They ended up with something
like over $500.00 in fines. They were for no shots or liscenses. In my
opinion Animal Control should have taken all 10 cats because of the filth hey
are living in. These don't use the litter box because their ownes are too
lazy to empty it. The floor is rotting from cat urine and feceses. You can
smell the stench of cat spray outside their house too. It is really sad and
disgusting. I really wish Animal Control would take these cats.

Be careful, if they are short staffed, it helps with funding so they
have more money. Last year they did a door to door search here for
licenses. I got popped for a dog that I picked up on the expressway.
All MY dogs had tags..BUT...the rescue dog did not and they did not
care I said, I had it less than 2 weeks, I got a fine of $100.00 and
a double fee for the license they made me buy. I now call for dogs on
the expressway BUT do not bring them home. Funnier thing, I had found
a home for this dog and I told them he was going to new home in 2
days...(it left 2 days later without the tags to new home and I was
stuck with cost as I had not mentioned it when setting up new home I
told them free). I had told them of this fine and they never offered
to pay, as they were over the stateline and had to get their tag.
Funny thing though, they gave me a tag without rabies shot as they
knew it was leaving. I did not send license with the new owners as I
paid for it, I knew it had no record of rabies injection and wanted
them to get their own tag which requires proof of rabies shot. They
were mad at me, over this but took the dog. But, I have heard from a
friend the dog is played with and loved, they even walk the dog, so
it was a good home choice. Be Careful if you bring in strays.
