ok I may not be the best to answer as I am a "NM" (neurotic mom), but
especially when I cannot take him with me. (too cold/hot to be in car, which he
does not mind waiting in) I definitely tailor some of my desires to fit his
needs. But hey sometimes mommy needs an all day yoga workshop or needs to go
make the money, etc. So I know I need to leave him for more than the usual 5-6
hours (which also rarely happens if I can help it) I either get someone to drop
by or we have an enormous hike the next day (he loves that) or some other fun
thing...I worry that I treat him too human but I love him to death so ...what
to do?

Subject: [Chihuahuas] How do you balance your busy life with your dogs?

Do you all ever feel guilty for not spending enough time with your dogs? I just
cancelled a
visit with friends tomorrow because I'll be gone a lot of the day Sunday too
and just felt too
guilty for being gone most of Saturday and Sunday... The dog has been out
running at the
beach with his dog walker all week ( he usually is just with her in the
mornings, but this week
he's been gone from 9-4pm'ish) and then I have been home every evening. Am I
being
neurotic about my dog? I feel like I could stand a break, but I also feel like,
if I'm not going to
be with my doggie as much as I can, why did I bother. Do any of you feel
conflicted like this?
Thanks
A neurotic (?) mom. :)
