We had it done on the rottie a few months ago. It went fine for her. They
put her to sleep because I can't imagine a dog keeping their mouth open wide
enough for the vet to clean tartar off.

Subject: [Chihuahuas] Brushing Teeth

So how do you all do this? Do you use a finger brush or a long handled one.
Just recenly, I've
noticed a lot of tartar on my baby's teeth. I'm having a few problems with
the brushing:

1) I can't seem to get his mouth open wide enough (or long enough) to reach
his back teeth. I
think it's because he has an overbite.

2) He keeps moving his tongue around and it's in the way of me reaching his
teeth.

how frequently do you get your dogs' teeth cleaned professionaly? Has anyone
done the kind
of cleaning where they don't put your dog to slee? How did that go?
Thanks
