I think that, like human insurance, pet insurance is something you have to look at each company and decide which fits you and your pet best. The one that offers the best policy for one person, may not be the best policy for another person. I would look at every thing from monthly cost, to deductibles, as well as policy max payout. Also, some have contracts with certain vets where certain things are cheaper if you use them, ect...so see which one works with your vet. Make sure the policy is one that covers things that your breed is prone to. What good would a policy that doesn't cover "accidental stepping on" (lol) or something for a chi, but then have a policy that does cover an accidental dropping for a st Bernard??? lol. Make sure it covers the things that are likely to effect your breed.
I think pet insurance is great, but for those of us with several pets, it is almost impossible. If I just had one or two, I would definitely have the insurance, but I have 9 dogs and 4 cats right now, lol. Then again....I can't even afford to have insurance for myself, lol Marsha ----- Original Message ----- From: Leslie Barton To: Chihuahuas@yahoogroups.com Sent: Tuesday, April 24, 2007 12:24 PM Subject: [Chihuahuas] Pet Insurance I am considering purchasing pet insurance and would love your opinions about which company, what coverage etc. Thanks, Leslie & Clancey __________________________________________________________ Mortgage refinance is Hot. *Terms.
