Thank you very much Jeannine. I feel very bad to say that Molly , my LC Chi , came from a pet store . I had researched buying a chi from a breeder. My vet had the breeder listed in his book as being reputable. I traveled 6 hrs , 2 times to pick out and then pick up my pup. Day one the pup was ill. It was congenital defects from poor breeding. I spent $1100. trying to save the pup and she died 2 mo after I got her. In my grief , I went to the pet store and bought Molly. I would never buy from a pet store again and support puppymillers, but I would not trade Molly for a million $$. I was basically lucky. Molly is 4 yrs old and healthy and sound. The first 7 mo I had her was horrible though. She was endlessly ill. Kennel Cough , stomach, parasites etc. My other 2 Chihuahua's came from a friend ...and of course the 2 I pick have floppy ears..lol. Love them to pieces regardless. The 2 chi mixes were from friends. The Yorkie - a drop off and I also have a dumped 120 lb lab mix. Poor girl thinks she's a chi : )
