I would definately take him to the vet to see what the problem is, so they
can tell you what will help the most.  Maybe like everyone else is saying, a
steriod will help a lot.  Also, this isn't a dog, and I don't know if they
use it in dogs, but I had a lovebird that was almost crippled from arthritis
(old age - he died at 19, and the vet said it was like a human living to be
120), and my vet gave me celebrex to give him, and it totally fixed him
right up.  He could walk almost like he never had arthritis - LOL!  Anyway,
so they may have something newish and really good out there.  We would joke
that my bird and my dad took the same arthritis medicine!
