Yes. I use the original powder Oxi-Clean -- NOT the newer premixed stuff.
THe original powder is totally safe. Just mix it with hot water and go to
town. If you have an old stain or pee spot on your carpet, make a thicker
paste of the Oxi-Clean and put it over the spot, let it dry, vacuum away,
and then clean your carpet as usual with the dilute Oxi-Clean. I've used it
successfully in a rented carpet cleaner as well.
