I have cats too. 26 to be exact. Most are strays that we've taken in.
Anytime you have lots of cats or outside cats that can be around other sick
cats they tend to get an URI - Upper Respiratory Infection. Runny eyes and
congestion are the top signs. The best thing I've found especially for those
unrully cats that you can't hold to medicate is Terrimycin Powder. You can get
it at most feed stores or Tractory Supply. It's the same stuff the vet gives
you for their eyes as an ointment. I have a concoction that I mix up and even
my most picky eaters gobble this stuff up. For just her I would do this: take
about 1/2 cup plain yogurt, 1 small jar of beef or chicken baby food, 1/8 tsp
of terimycin powder, 1/2 cup of evaptorated milk, 1 egg yolk optional, mix
either in blender or by hand then add equal part of water to mixture. It has
to be refridgerated afterward and doesn't last long and it won't hurt the other
cats to have it. It will boost their immune system. If
you don't want to do the whole mixture I'll do just the powder in baby food
with some water to make it liquid instead of solid. Hope this helps.

her to live in my house with my other VERY spoiled cats...but I need to get the
eyes taken care of first. My cats do not go outside at all..and they are
spayed and neuterd.Very healhty. If anyone had any idea of what the problem
might be..or how to medicate her...I tried putting it in her food...didn't
work...PLEASE let me know...I really don't want to stress her by forcing her
