I had to have the surgery on an older dog and it is a long road to recovery but he was one that I took back in and he was severly overweight. Make sure you get a second opinion from an orthopedic vet before you make any decisions. Is it causing him pain? Pam

It has been rough. I was off work 6 months this year so I pray we do not need the surgery as I canot do this. The vet said Chi's are prone to this. Has anyone had this?
