I have a shihtzu named Precious that I rescued at the same time I got TinkerBell from same rescue, she was on the list when I was looking for a chi, I love shih tzu's and had them for 30 years, but they require a lot of upkeep with hair and stuff, so was looking for a low maintenance dog. However, my daughter and I could not pass up the shih tzu she has such a pretty face. So we made an agreement. I got them both, but Precious is hers but lives with me (she has a career no children and is not home a lot). So I am the Nana for her dog and she pays for the mobile groomer to come out and keep her pretty. We call her Perfect Precious because she came all housebroken, knows how to walk on a leash, ride in cars and minds very well. Here is her picture after one of her groomings, look close and you will see Tinker in the upper right corner. They are known as "the girls" in the neighborhood and are friendly to everyone. Precious has her own story of abandonment and lacerated leg ..... We love our Precious as I am sure you already do yours. I have been hopeing and praying since last spring for a black and tan chi for my daughter. Three days ago there was a post in my freecycle group for a black and tan chi female, 2 years old. I responded to the post and prayed. The lady called today and said we could have her. I picked her up today and suprised my daughter with her. She was overjoyed to say the least!!!!! Her name is Precious and she fits her name. She is sweet as can be. The lady even gave us her large crate, dog food, toys, leash etc. I am sooooooooo happy, I haven't stopped smiling all night.
