He was allowed out a cat door in the back, but the other dogs and cats were there and there was a motion light that would come on. In Florida I heard stories about Pelicans scooping up small dogs also. So yes, I keep and eye on the air. My current chi, TinkerBell thinks she is a bird dog and tries so hard to catch them. My cats in the valley kinda' thought Quigley was a gopher and tried to chase him, but he knew he was a dog and they were cats and he was supposed to chase them it was funny to watch the stand off sometimes, as neither would back down and run! All said and done the cats and dogs were friends see pic of Quigley with Big Kitty and another shihtzu I had years ago.
