I bet its hard to have to wait for your puppy.? I have a long hair who is will
be a year old on the 26 of this month.? He is a very active little guy and has
been a joy.? You can get books at any book store and/or pet shop.? I bought
maybe 6 different books and they all?more or less have the same information.?
There are also magazines for the different breeds, I really liked the one on
chihuahuas,
it has good information and is not as expensive as some of the books.? The two
main hurdles you will face is potty training and chewing.? You have to read as
much as you can and then decide which potty training method works best for
you.? Because I still work part time, I trained Cesar to use a litter box,
linned with newspapers.? He learned almost immediately.? On the days?I am home,
I do take him outside alot, so he has learned to do his business outside as
well.? You have to puppy proof the room where the puppy will?be kept, ?that
means remove anything that is dangerous or valuable, for most certainly he will
chew on the most unexpected things.? Puppies bring a lot of work but they also
bring alot of joy.? Good luck.

Subject: [Chihuahuas] Brand New

Hi there! We take ownership of our new long-coat on February 22nd.
She will be almost 5 months old and will have been spayed and had all
her puppy shots. The breeder is very picky about who he gives his dogs
to and we were happy to have passed the test. We named her Elsie and
she is the cutest little black and white puppy I have ever seen. We
are very excited.

What books and websites should I go to for good info, training advice,
etc.? We want to be ready for her.

Thanks in advance.

Jen
