Gee, I wish I could feed mine like you do. the 7 yr old won't touch dry or
canned. She is really picky. We finally found a recipe she'll eat but we
have to special feed the younger one due to bladder crystals. thank
goodness she isn't so picky.

Only you and God know your heart.

My Chi, Gizmo is almost 5 months old and 4.5 lbs. I feed him a 1/2 cup dry
per day, too. I split it up into two feedings. In the morning, I mix it
with a teeny-tiny bit of canned (like maybe a teaspoon full) and a little
bit of warm water to mix it. He does fine on that amount of food and does
not have any runny stools. I feed Canidae (both the dry and the canned)
brand which is a high quality food. I think that dogs do well on less food
if it is high quality without all those fillers (such as corn) in it.
Sometimes their stomachs can be sensitive to the ingredience in the lower
quality

I am a newer chi owner and my zoey is 4 months old. She is used to pro
plan dry food and the vet told me to cut back b/c she is 4lbs. 8oz. and
loves to eat. In the morning she eats about 1/4 cup dry food and in
the evening 1/4 dry food with just alittle wet food mixed in. She
loves the wet food and has been looking better but is eating everything
in site including bugs outside! I would appreciate advise and sample
meals. Also, wet food gives her loose stools. Is that always normal
and should we give her a break from the wet food because of that?
