Subject: [Chihuahuas] Peaches pups

Well, had my second ever c-section today. Peaches simply could not deliver
her pups. They were not all that big, but she was just too little to have
them. This was not an intentional breeding. We had never planned to breed
her. BUT, nonetheless, she did end up pregnant, and as feared, could not
deliver the pups. By section, she delivered 5 pups. 3 boys and two girls.
All are looking to be a fawn/sable coloring as of now, except one. One is
white just like she is.

White girl 3 point 7 oz
girl 3 point 9 oz'
boy 2 point 3 oz
boy 4 point 7 oz
boy 3 point 9 oz

This is my second section in a row after 12 years of no sections at all,
so I guess I can actually count myself lucky. Pups are doing great, but
peaches still has not recovered from anethesia. I have never had one stay
sedated this long for any procedure. Surgery was about 6:30...it is now
11:30 and she still has not awaken enough to even acknowledge the pups. We
are bottle feeding and making them potty. Mom will sit up tonight to keep
an eye out and to feed, ect.

Thanks for all the prayers.

Marsha
