That's good because Cesar took a while to heal and I had to take him back
twice to have them pulled.

Gizmo got the desolving kind of sutures. He doesn't have to go back at all
unless he has problems.

So glad Gizmo did well. Does he have to go back to have stiches removed?
Cesar did but I understand some vets use those that dissolve.

Thanks Marsha. I picked Gizmo up from the vets yesterday evening and he did
great! I kept a close eye on him last night and I didn't notice him licking
his incision area at all. He was very, very hungry when he came home and
wanted to play. The vet said no running around or jumping for a week so I
just gave him a little food and kept him in his x-pen. He acted like his
normal
self after surgery so I guess he is okay! They bounce back quick, don't
they? I checked his incision sight this morning and it looks very good, not
red at all. The hardest part, I guess is keeping him quiet and still for a
week, LOL! He wants so bad to come out and play with my Australian Shepherd,
Zoe (his "big sister" and playmate) but I can't let him yet.

I hope everything went well. Poor baby. I wont leave mine over night
either. As far as after care, the vet will of course give you
instructions. I have never realy had much problems with any of them
bothering the stitches, so I have no advice other than just keep and eye
on him.
