You have to remember that the ingredients that cause Gizmo to like his food are still in the poop! Copraphagia is what its really called and if you can't be there to quicly pick up, then a few days of "Deter" will do the trick! I had to use it with my malamute shepherd mix! It makes the poop distasteful and then the dog gets into the habit of leaving it instead of partaking, so to speak! Good luck!

To: "Chihuahuas" <[email protected]> Date: Wednesday, November 5, 2008, 11:19 AM Gizmo (8 months old) is pee pad trained and he has started eating his poop, yuck! When I have to leave him to go to work for a couple of hours (4 hours at the most), I leave him in his x-pen in the kitchen with bed, toys, water and pee pad. I know he has been eating his poop because I can see a little bit of it on the paper but no poopie to clean up! I have heard of dogs doing this before. What can I do to break him of this yucky habit? Any ideas would be very helpful. Stefanie
