I am not Elizabeth but I can say that a litter box is indeed cheaper,
especially if you line it with newspaper like I do.

Elizabeth, do you think it's cheaper and easier with the litterbox, as
opposed to the pads? Maybe I can try to switch Gizmo to a litter box.

    Hi, Gloria!

I first moved the pads to a box, then I removed the pads and used a special
litter for dogs that I get at Petco. The name, however, escapes me right
now! I put them in their pens, just as I did the pads! I remove the "tootsie
rolls" either immediately or when I get back from work! Its very easy. and
they rarely make a mistake. We had one mistake when we were traveling; I
think it was because they just couldn't find the box right away. Other things
were too tempting!

Litter box trained!! I will attempt that. All of the our Chi's go on the
pad except for Jaz, she was the adopted one who goes on the newspaper.
Otherwise - they'll go on the throw rugs if there are no pads down.

What do you all put in the litter boxes? What size box do you use? Thanks!

    Hi !

Mine are also litter boxed trained! But I did as Arlene. I put it where
they also liked to go and then moved it gradually until it was where I wanted
it!

Elizabeth
P.S, It does take time, though!

hi i read your email, i didn't answer because i dont have the answer.
mine are trained for pee pads but it is a hit and sometimes miss. i woul try
this, but if she is going in one place put a pad there and as she goes on the
pad move the pad a little at a time till you get it where you want it. this
takes time. but when i di a toltal remodel this is what i had to do.

May God walk with you today.
