He played for a while and then fell asleep and I am going to have to wake
him up in about 30 minutes for a feeding. Oh, I hope he eats for me. They
tell me he ate on his own at the clinic.

I am so glad that Emiliano is home and happy. I will keep the couple in my
prayers, it is so sad that they lost their little one.

Subject: [Chihuahuas] Emiliano is Home

I picked up Emiliano at 7:30 PM, he is happy to be home. He ate a bit, then
ran all around his corral pushing one of his stuff toys. It is so uplifting
to see him. I will have to keep a every 4 hrs feeding schedule for a while,
to try to keep him healthy. Tonight, at the clinic, I held a total stranger
in my arms while she sobbed. A couple walked in and the man was carrying a
small dog wrapped in a blanket. I heard the woman tell the receptionist that
they were from Houston, were on a trip to Austin, and their little dog had
just died, As the man was led to a back room, her knees buckled and I got up
to
support her, and ended up holding her in my arms while she cried and cried.
Dogs are magical, they bring people together, in love and understanding of
what it is to love one.
