In one post I was asked who I am. Here is your answer. My name is John Kariotis. I am a pagan minister living in Imperial County of California, next to the Salton Sea . As a minister I’ve helped find places to stay for close to a dozen homeless people, some who are veterans of our country’s foreign battles. I have legal custody of my daughter’s son. Seth has been assessed and appears to have both developmental and emotional disabilities. My daughter, Caurel is severely autistic. She will probably never speak words or ever not wear adult pull ups. She is seventeen. I have a Chihuahua rescue named Ginger. She’s been a member of my animal menagerie for a year now. Except for Crystal the mini rex rabbit and Galileo the maroon conure, all eight cats in my house are rescues. All eight cats have been either spayed or neutered. I’ve learned some good lessons here in this group and hope to keep learning from people with more experience than me. I have a few questions and remarks for things that have bothered me regarding posts in this group. >From the research I’ve done regarding service dogs I can not find any local, >state or federal guidelines regarding what a service dog is. I have not found >any state or federal laws that allow someone who is not a county, state or >federal officer to inquire about the legality of someone’s disability and the >legality of their service dog. So, can anyone point me in the direction of the >county, state or federal codes regarding service dog training, certification >and application? Here’s some of my internet etiquette that I attempt to follow. Never type when angry, nor ever click on “send” when angry. Always read what you type twice before clicking on “send”. Sign your work; be responsible for your words. Yes, I do follow the Wiccan Rede, see my signature. Do not be untruthful in what you type. You wouldn’t be untruthful to people you meet in public or face to face, so don’t be untruthful in your online actions. Typing in all capital letters is considered “shouting”. If you are disabled, legally disabled, get a placard or license plate for your vehicle. Park in handicapped parking spaces. Be careful of the anti-depressant drug Abilify. Most research shows that Abilify is to be used to treat depression with other antidepressants drugs. Not by itself. There are some serious side effects to Abilify. Find out what they are, especially if you are a type II diabetic. Check the links below, so that you know I’ve done some homework on the subject and am attempting to be fair and unbiased. And yes, I do read all posts in this forum. I waited before sending this. I actually deleted two other drafts. Please read this as no attack, nor any direct criticism. If anything I’ve said resembles something that resembles you or your actions, ponder my words, read what you write twice before responding. I mean no insult. Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill: “And ye harm none do what ye will”. Lest in thy self-defense it be, ever mind the Rule of Three. Follow this with mind and heart, and merry ye meet, and merry ye part.
