I took Cesar to the basics training at Petsmart.? He did well, learned a little bit.? The class was small 3 dogs and the problem wasn't the other two larger dogs, it was Cesar who wanted to attack them.? We worked on it and it got better but was never really overcomed.? I said I was going to take him back and repeat the class but I haven't done it yet.? The trainer was good, she's the one that told me that most of the time when small dogs lunge or try to attack a larger dog, it's not because they are brave, it's because they are scared - fear agression and I believe it.

I am thinking about taking Gizmo and/or Cricket (when she's done with puppy shots) to a Petsmart class.? But, I am afraid to have them around all the bigger dogs and puppies.? I have seen some pretty dog-aggressive dogs in classes that I took my Aussies to.? The Chis are so small, I don't want to put them in danger.? But, I do want them to have an opportunity to socialize with people and other dogs.? Any suggestions? ? Stefanie
