Hello: Yes, the deck is very sturdy. Trex is a good product. I do have a ramp but it is not a wheelchair ramp, it is a 16' ramp going to a deck that is about 5'10" off of the ground. My wife was going down it last winter, it was just wet and not icy but she took a very nasty fall. Nothing broken but bruised. I have put indoor/outdoor carpet on the ramp to help prevent falls. The steps on the other side can also be slippery, I am thinking about carpet on the steps.
