If I put down fresh meat, mine would probably gobble it up as well, lol.

I will say again on the housebreaking....at 8 weeks old, they are not yet
at the point where they can comprehend housebreaking enough for it to make
a difference. They are not permitted to just "go anywhere" as they are
confined to an x-pen where there is a potty pad...so if anything, they are
learning potty pad to the extent they are able to learn anything at this
age.

I do have a doggy door and it is locked up tight. Although it leads to a
fenced in back yard, my chis will not be permitted, at any age, to go
outside unsupervised. Too many predators. Chis are a bit different than
big breeds.

If I have the rare pup that is here much longer than 8 weeks and is
getting to old to ignore housebreaking, they will start being led to the
potty pad, but I never take a pup that is for sale out to potty. I do not
risk the constant exposure to things they could catch and then take to a
new home. But I will emphasise again that iin my oppinion a pup that young
is not yet old enough to fully grasp housebreaking anyhow.
