I have been through two "crippled" chis. The first one, I remember when
his legs first drew in and it is hard to explain, but like the paws drew
into the chest and he was pulling himself by his elbowls. I tried
everything emaginable to protect him! He went through stages starting with
the hair rubbbing off, then the skin getting a mess....bloody, scabby, ect
and eventually got to the point where it kinda "leatherised" and no longer
bothered him. But during the "bloody" stage, we did socks, wraps,
crocheted little leggings, everything! With what you are refering to, my
first suggestion would be to sew a pair of socks out of a human sock. Get
a child size sock, cut it straight up the middle and sew the cut side
up...making two pairs of socks......
