The Petsmart here doesn't sell dogs or cats but they do allow a strictly local animal charity to keep cats in the store that are ready for adoption. They also allow her to come in on the weekend with dogs that need adoption. She adopts at least one dog every weekend and generally all that she brings in find homes first try. The local Petco has different policies and won't allow her to board her cats for adoption. They do have another charity that comes in on the weekend for adoptions.
When I bring Pecos in and she's there, his feet never touch the floor. Customers inundate her for requests to adopt him. Hilarious. ________________________________ From: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> Sent: Fri, October 29, 2010 9:52:11 AM Subject: RE: [Chihuahuas] Puppy Mill Auction-Hundreds need our help The petcos I've been in have rescues come in if satudays and sundays ________________________________ On Oct 29, 2010 3:26 AM, dasha <[email protected]> wrote: The Petco here sold dogs before they went out of business and as far as I know another local one still does too. Petco and Petsmart do not sell dogs or cats.
