I have a yellow female cat, that yellow cat had 8 kittens this past spring, her first litter! the suspected father was also yellow, a stray yellow old Tom who has been around for a few years. and all 8 kittens were yellow!! I couldn't hardly tell any of them apart I found most of them homes with friends and relatives. some were female I only kept 3. plus the mother who is now spayed. my Chihuahua Jane doesn't like cats but they don't really bother each other. she's 16. any way my niece took some of the kittens for her children, my niece says both yellow cats are female.
