I think Shuai-Li is way more sensitive than my female poodles were...they just got "bitchy"...but never became more affectionate...if anything they were always more standoffish and moody. Thanks for this info!! Shuai-Li is wearing her little panties so we are avoiding the little drip-lets...they are pretty cute too! This is her first heat. I wasn't expecting it quite yet...I thought I had another month so I only had one pair of panties done...gotta add that to my list of "to do" now!! Now that she has had her first heat I have to decide if/when to spay here. I was toying with the idea of breeding her as my sister in law really wants a Shih Tzu...but I think I will go ahead and spay her. I just don't want to risk her in anyway and the world doesn't need any more puppies. Shuai-Li came from a litter of 9...a huge litter for Shih Tzus...so it could very well be she would throw that many...no way I could keep 9 LOL!!! If I thought she might have 2-3 I might risk it. But....I think I will be scheduling her soon. It's just so permanant and of course I won't be able to change my mind later...
