Sandy you are blessed to have your Mom around. You're doing the right
thing being with her.

Mom is thrilled that I’m here for Thanksgiving but I’d really rather be
home and having dinner with DH and my son and DIL. And my puppies.
My mom is 93 so I try to get up here with her as much as I can. Trouble
is, it’s a 2 day drive and I detest flying. I need to come back the end of
Jan for 3 weeks and probably will have to fly…crossing I-80 through WY is
usually snowpacked and icy.

Hi Susan

That sounds nice too. I remember growing up and my grandma always did the
turkey & good old homemade gravy!! the my mom would make the rest of the
dinner. We would all get together, mom, brother, sister her hubby, their kids
etc... and all enjoy. I really miss those days!

I’m at my Mother’s in WA state. She & I will cook the dinner for my
brother & SIL and SIL’s parents. Actually, mom will do most of it, no one can
do it as well so I just back off and let her do it. I do the cleanup.

So, who is cooking this year at home? And who gets the pleasure of going
elsewhere and having the meal cooked for them?

I am staying home cooking for my little family here in vegas. just the 4
of us people and little Ricky who I am sure will be enjoying some turkey &
goodies!
