HOwdy everyone!!!
you guys are not gonna believe what happened to me today...My daughter and her
husband came over and gave me the MOST wonderful gift EVER. Unbeknownst to me
they had found a Yorkie...a young female about a month and a half ago. They
have
spent all ths time actively trying to find her owners...checking for chips,
tatoos, newspaper adds, vets, shelters, posters etc but to no avail. They had
planned that if they could not find her home she was to be mine. Their Vet
finally advised them to just let me have her so she wasn't without a home. I
just couldn't figure out why they were always coming over here when I was
planning to walk to their house...they always had a "reason" to come here
instead. Which wasn't making too much sense...now I understand why!! We kind of
think the owner was a lady who called Andrea and asked her all sorts of strange
questions...and then said at the end of the conversation that she would be so
relieved to know her baby had a wonderful home...it didn't make any sense...but
Andrea thinks she was just calling to check to see if "her baby" was in a good
situation. She told Andrea she was having lots of health problems...etc.
I have had her now about an hour...she and I are falling in love. She is
sleeping on my huby right now. She is not spayed...she is not house
trained...has marked all over...but she is beautiful. She weighs 5.8...and
seems
in really good condition. Andrea said she was NOT happy with what they were
feeding her but she ate a nice bowl full of raw ground chicken and was VERY
excited about it!!! She was probably on canned...and wasn't use to kibble.
This is such an amazing thing!!! Some of you remember before I got Shuai
Li last
year that I was really searching for a Yorkie. I wanted a little female so bad.
Through a lady on one of my lists I found a beautiful little female...my
husband
was in love with her pics too...but her price tag was just too high...we just
couldn't do it...and that was with a healthy discount!!! We only found Yorkies
from then on for double the price of the sweet little girl we passed up and
both
of us were sad we passed!!. I checked rescues and shelters and just nothing
worked...thats when we started looking a ShihTzus which were SO much less
expensive and EVERYWHERE!!! My hubby bought me Shuai-Li last Christmas! I had
really given up on the Yorkie quest...but I believe this little girl is a
complete GIFT from God...who knows the desires of my heart...knows how I feel
about my dogs and how I care for them. We had been considering taking in
another
little one ...and after prayer...I just felt a huge "WAIT" as my answer...how
do
you explain that to someone???LOL!!! Now it all makes sense...i was to WAIT
because the LORD knew what was coming!!! HE knew she needed me!!! and of course
I need her too!!! It is amazing how things work...EVERYONE in my house
immediately liked her...no barking...no apprehension...no fear from her or
anyone. When the Lord does something HE does it right and takes care of all the
details.
So ladies on my BEST DRESSED list and SEWING FOR DOGS list...I can be in the
Yorkie family too!!! I know you all let me in and loved me anyway...but now I
am
a true family member!!!!!
This is turning into a book and I want to go be with her...but someday I will
tell you the remarkable story of how my son-inlaw found her!!!
