This is Dali. We got her yesterday. So far she is being the best 4 month old Chi there is. I had a terrible adventure getting her. Yes her name is Dali - although a male Arabic name [nothing is perfect in this world!] - it is in honour of Salvador Dali. My husband suggested it and I like it so far. She has a Dali edge to her. Got to call her something. I picked her up yesterday. A fun-filled drive without snow tires in snow/black ice & very steep hills - one of which I had to back down or should I say slid sideways down, almost managing to slip over the side & down a 15 drop. Luckily my 'superior' driving skills saved me. lol I was a shaky wreck. Then it started to sleet. Just a freak Lake-effect snow & ice storm. My brother gave me a bowl of soup when I arrived at the farm - helped a lot. Had to meet the breeder at a cafe parking lot instead. My Mom's Border Collie [Adam] loved her and was really gentle. She sat on my Mom's lap most of the visit and rested her head on her chest. Michael took her outside with Adam for a walk but it wasn't nice and she kept asking him to pick her up. I hastily bought her some stuff & today we are looking at more. A work colleague of my husband just re-homed their dog & strangely didn't give his stuff away - she is offering his stuff so we get to see what they have. She also is selling us the pay-pen and winter boots. Dali prances and that just kills us - so sweet. She is pretty good about the pee & poo. She demoed before bed. She slept through the night and asked to pee around 3am when I got up. She cried a little and made cage rattling sounds & chewed on her antler. I was up a bit to discourage the cage rattling. She pooed when she was let out of her crate at 7am. She's so excited when she does her stuff - must have been heavily praised by the breeder. Jacqueline
