Amen Pat...no chipping or tattooing on my kids!!!! Instead of that why don't we just simply teach PARENTS to care for their children...to be with them...at all times...to take part in their lives...to teach them manners and obedience and safety...to shepherd them...to watch them...to not leave them unattended...it is PART OF BEING A PARENT!!!!!!!! (yes...i am YELLING!!!). It is not the governments job to take care or keep track or keep safe MY children...it is MINE!!!! If you won't or can't do it DONT HAVE KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And maybe we should just have id number tattooed on our forearm too.. I agree we need to protect our kids but those kids are going to grow up into adults and I sure would mine to have anything where a government entity could track them. And microchipping does give that capability, we have no idea what would go on a child microchip.. I know what they tell ya.. But who really knows.. Remember not everyone in our government are good people.. Lol

I actually think that every baby born should have  a chip with a GPS, then maybe we can begin to stop these predators that are stealing our children and abusing them and worse. What is more precious than a child. Some people think its a violation of their rights, well when they get 18 they can have it removed but until then we need to do every thing we can to protect our children from this crazy world! The predators are the ones that are taking away our rights and our children!

I think that is a great idea. They can't remove all the posts if we all do it.

Something to think about.

I feel the same way. NO ID on so many dogs and cats too. What are they thinking? oh I guess nothing.

I am thinking of putting a note up on Craigslist in the pet section. "TAG YOUR PET"! it will most likely get flagged and removed due to some stupid people on there. Maybe everyone can post in there area on craigslist in the pet section to tag there pets.

I think people are being very careless. The two foster chi's I have were found wandering the streets and no ID, no color, nothing!
I just got in from a rescue call. Someone hit a young dog killing it and it was traveling down the country road with two other dogs. We picked up the two surviving ones and they have no collar, no ID, no chips. So we are holding them until the dog warden can check out the situation. If unclaimed we  will see to it they find new homes!

What is the matter with people? don't they realize dogs get lost and can't call for help?

Don't you think that their are way to many tiny dogs getting lost on LI?  I am seeing this just about everyday, and it is always a different area
