He was still very skiddish around people and I advised people not to reach down towards him so as not to frighten him more. He really seems to be frightened when people reach towards him. I’ve read that you should approach a dog from his/her side as they often become frightened when faced head on by someone reaching towards them. Anyway, he’s doing very well and even let my mom give him a treat last night.

I made sure that he had a nice quiet place to retreat to, which is where he chose to stay during the majority of the day. I would have liked to see him out socializing with the guests a little bit more but he’s still got a long way to go before his confidence builds to the point where he’s comfortable with 20 people around at one time. All in all he did great. He was very quiet while guests were here. He stayed close to my other Chi, Twiggy, which is what I expected he would do as he is familiar with her and finds comfort in her friendship. I’m very proud of him. J
