>From what I have learned, tail chasing and growling , is either a food
allergy, or worms. Their are worms that you cannot see in the poop, so you
would need to drop off a sample to the Vet. Or if you don't want to pay for
a checkup (Which all the Vets want), then try Petco when they have the
clinic around. They will give you a kit and envelope and you add a fresh
sample and mail it out. I think I only paid $12.00 and it does take 2 weeks
to get the results back.

Hi everyone

Ricky seems to scratch / itch / lick alot some days and not other days. He
does not have fleas, and his skin is not red or flaky. today he is not
scratching... yesterday he was. a couple times a week, he will start licking
his bottom area, then it turns into a all out war! He growls, bites at his
bottom and then bites his tail all the while growling, sounding angry.
sometimes he just gets to going in a fast circle chasing his tail (i guess
that is what he is chasing) growling... then gets dizzy... and quits. I try
to distract him when he does this, but he always seems to be in a trans...
like he hears nothing.

He will sometimes also chew on his back thigh.. growling. Most of the time
now I just walk away and he seems to quit sooner. anyone have this problem,
or maybe an opinion?
His food is Petfresh select, but my hubby does feed him meat that we have
for dinner. my hubby is Indian... so the meat is a bit spiced, but no matter
what I say, my hubby feeds it to him anyway. and of course Ricky loves it!!!

Shanna
