Ok...I guess I can never take a little break again...first off I leave and you
all go insane and start putting $ in my Pay-pal account...and then I miss all
the posts on shedding and sick dogs and seizures and...oh my it will take
forever to catch up on all of them!!!!
I wanted to comment on the shedding...diet does play a huge part in coat health
so make sure your babies are getting enough of the right kinds of protein...I
know I keep singing the same tired ole' song about feeding raw but this was one
of the extra blessings I got from the switch. Instead of the insessant shedding
now we get blowing coat just 2 times a year...one in the fall preparing for a
thicker winter coat and one in the spring to ready for summer...and it lasts
but
a couple weeks each time. Wearing PJ's in the house REALLY helps with the
spring
blow as that is the heavier shed of the two and the PJ's just keep it all
contained through the day and not on us or the furniture. A good brushing each
night and morning helps too...i use a real boar-bristle brush...not
synthetics...that brings out the beautiful shiney coat and removes the excess
hair!!! They were pricey brushes but they are truly amazing for Chi Coats and
will last till I die...definitely a one time investment...unless of course I
loose them...LOL!! I guard then like a hawk though...no one is allowed to use
them but Mama!! LOL
