I did check out the website and you would also be able to use gmail in it too. -------Original Message------- From: Kavi Date: 12/11/2010 4:42:28 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Chihuahuas] Shanna-- IncrediMail Incredimail downloaded fine. all was fine until I went to send a message out. tested it by sending it to one of my other accounts. It never sent it out. if I looked in the outbox... it was empty. so I have no ideas why. I am not worried about it.. I have plenty of other email accounts. thanks shanna On Fri, Dec 10, 2010 at 10:47 PM, Peggy & The Girls <[email protected]> wrote: Hi Shanna, Hmmm, sounds like it didn't download properly or didn't config the proper settings. If you want yahoo to go through Incredimail, I believe you have to pay Yahoo. That's why I opened an AOL account first because through AOL you can also receive your Yahoo mail and you can use IncrediMail. But you have to open an AOL acct and then IncrediMail. To open Incredi it needs to who your primary email carrier is first. Mine is my Internet Provider. Remember IncrediMail is a e-mail client, not a provider of the actual service. I know that if you use a Mack pc, IncrediMail does not support it. . First, did you download it from their official site? When you downloaded it, did it give you an icon in your Task Bar on your pc? If so, when you click on the icon, does it open Incredi at all? If not then it is because it does not recognize the email address, if you used @ yahoo, instead of your primary email address to start with. The tec support at Incredi is fantastic, you usually get a reply within 24 hours, if you want to email them, you can use their site at the bottom I think is where their contact info is. This is the link in AOL to setup IncrediMail http://help.aol.com/help/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=ex&bbid=TSEBB_1276526877147&url=&stateId=0%200%20115816155&dialogID=115806921&docTypeID=DT_AOLFAQS_1_1&externalId=217449&sliceId=1&rfId=&radios=False I also found this for trouble shooting Yahoo, and the proper configuration of your mail. Lol! I have so many emails to go through, it looks like everyone had a party! Lol! I am happy that you like the pictures, Nancy. I couldn't finish everyone's pictures yet because the fan on my lap isn't working right and it keeps over heating, so I have to shut it down and wait for the lap to cool off. Add to that, a software that I use to make the pics isn't working right either, and then yesterday none of my attachment in my emails were not going through. So what should have only taken a couple of hours has dragged into a day and a half and I am still not done.. Hopefully tomorrow the software will be working again, and then I can finish the last of the pics. As far as you inserting any picture as a signature, it depends upon your Provider, you are using @sbcgolbal for your email service, that is where you insert a signature, if that service provides the feature to begin with. Most email services do provide it. You should look at the icons/words in your email toolbar. Usually if you click on 'Tools" and then a drop down list opens, you should see the word 'signature' click on it and follow the instructions. Since you are not using @AOL or @Yahoo as an email address, you can not apply a signature through them. If you have a problem then you should call or email your Service Provider and the techs will be able to instruct you further. You can also Google sbcgolbal for support. Another option is to open a Yahoo,or an Aol account which also allows you to see your Yahoo mail, and change your address for the groups. Or, if you have the option "insert" in your email, then you can just insert the picture each time you send an email. Just so you know, I use AOL, but it only allows me one signature, which is Peggy & The Girls with the black heart before and after my name, but it does not allow me to insert a picture with my name. I did see some one else say that they have the AOL toolbar and that gives them the ability to use and change a signature. I don't want the toolbar in my Browser, so maybe that's why it won't allow me to change it or add a picture when I go into the 'account settings'. I do use IncrediMail as an email 'client', which allows me to see Yahoo and AOL emails, and emails from my Service Provider and I can and do use the signature option from IncrediMail account. IncrediMail is a free service and it has a tremendous amount of features, like email backgrounds, animations, sound to send and receive music, record a message and include it in your email, skins, email notifiers and much more. I have had it for years and love it because it allows me to do so much more then a web based email. Your email is actually on your computer as a file, you are not on a web page, that is why it is called an email-client. But, I can also send and receive emails through my Internet Providers email service from their web page as a back-up if I want to, or from a Yahoo account, or from a AOL account. It is so much more convenient to have all my email accounts on one page by using IncrediMail. So maybe you cloud try this service to, I know you will love it! I hope this helps.
