Hi Christy, No he hasn't been tested. The vet said it would cost several hundred dollars to perform just the basic tests and financially that's not an option for me. I, too, am one of those who lost their job. I know it's not fair to the dog to not be able to afford the proper medical care, but I do give him the best food and love.

I believe they get the generic form of the drug at Wal-Mart pharmacy for 4.00. You may want to check Wal-Mart’s website to see if they have it listed on the list of cheaper prescriptions. Just a suggestion. Sorry to hear about little Cooper. My aunt says that their dog, Sugar, is a completely different dog now that she’s on the meds. He had one yesterday afternoon, this morning at 7 and again just a few minutes ago. He's still walking around trying to get his bearing. He doesn't want to be held right now. During this last seizure, he cried out twice as though he was hurting. This is so hard. Maybe it's time to start him on phenobarbitol. Do any of you know how much it costs? Carolyn
