It will take a little time. You really need to start correcting him when he acts up. I know it will be a little harder because he is no longer a puppy, but just try to be patient. In his formative year he probably was never exposed to people or other dogs. If you tell him ‘no’ when he is being mean, and give him a little cookie when he is being sweet…things can change very quickly.
