I really think this might be a great first sewing project if you were inclined
to learn to sew/quilt. If you get stuck I could help you. The whole key is
picking an easy pattern...you can go online and look at free quilting
patterns...just look for one that does squares for your first one...maybe a
nine patch...then you could get somecfabrics you love, and start making the 9
patch blocks in the size you print out Emiliano's picture...alternate the
blocks...one nine patch block...one emiliano...one nine patch...one
Emiliano...in strips as wide as you want your quilt to be. Then just start your
next row...only with this row start with the block you didnt start with on the
first row. Then when you get all your strips sewn as long as you want your
quilt to be you would have your finished quilt top...all you need then is
batting and backing cut 4 inches longer and wider than your quilt. If you want
it professionally done you could find a quilted with a long arm and she most
likely would charge $40-$60 for a twin size and go up from there...or you could
quilt it by hand yourself...just hand stitch in the ditch around each
square...no big deal. Think lap size or even a wall hanging too...less fabric,
less work.
If you look up Eleanor Burns she can give you step by step video walk
through...she is my hero, my idol and when I grow up I want to BE her!!
