This is such a sad, heart breaking story. Surely, you can make some phone calls in your local area to find a vet who will do a C-section and accept payment over time for the bill. Or any sort of Credit Card... Since Daisy isn't delivering today, you still have time to try to find another vet.
The drive between LA and San Diego also isn't that long of one. You could do it as a "day trip" and thus not need to get a hotel room. Call the University Hospital and talk to them. At the very least, they might be able to suggest a vet in your area who can help you. I still find it appalling that your regular vet won't work with you in this matter. He knows what will happen. What does your granddaughter feel about all this? Does she even understand how serious her "accident" is? Liz Well I ll try but if worst gose to worst will give it a shot and try to birth naturally but if I see the dog can't I guess the only thing left for her is to put her down my grand daughter will have to learn that things need to be taken care of not being mean just the facts the chance that I might not make it to san deigo is not good I can't efford a hotel room and wait for her to have them I just got a new home and moving into my home in two weeks ill be living in lake los angeles , ca and having to turn on utilities and gettting things set up in my new home. I can not anybodies fault but hers and she's going to have to find away out. And I should have never asked that was dumb I guess I wasn't thinking at all. Well she will learn. About life and death I have sure seen it in the peis and my lose two yrs ago was very very hard on me now it her turn. I have started packing and she's going to stay at my mom house. So she's on her own.
